Updating the Mullvad VPN app just got easier!

For Windows and macOS users, you can now update from within the Mullvad VPN app instead of going to our website.

Updating the Mullvad VPN app previously required you to go to our website to download the update and install it. That is now a thing of the past with in-app updates! Windows and macOS users can now see what new updates contain and download them through the app directly.

We know this has been a long time coming. We hope that this will not only provide a smoother way of updating, but also result in faster downloads and easier verification of updates. 

Just like the Mullvad VPN loader, the app downloads the updates from various Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and automatically verifies the installer/application for authenticity. This makes faster downloads possible by downloading the updates from servers closer to our users, while also making sure only verified Mullvad software is downloaded.
