Pricing and discounts
Got questions about the price of our VPN service? Hopefully you can find an answer here.
One price to rule them all
We offer our VPN service at one flat monthly rate of €5. We believe it's a fair pricing model that provides ultimate transparency and flexibility for our customers.
Flexibility over commitment
Everyone loves a good deal, but the reason you won't find any year-long subscription rates here is because we don't want to lock customers in to long-term payments. Of course, you can always top up your VPN account with 12 months, but you can also pay month to month for the exact same rate.
Paying by the month means that you can change your mind about us whenever you'd like, without having committed much money. In fact, we offer a 30-day money back guarantee, except for cash payments due to anti-money laundering regulations.
Month-to-month payments also make your account(s) truly disposable. If you have strong privacy requirements or ever feel that an account number is compromised, just stop using it and create a new one. We make it simple since we require no personal information.
The sustainable model
In addition, we want our customers to be happy with our service, so we're always aiming to improve. You might've guessed it but for us that means having a sustainable payment model so we can invest in important aspects like good development and bandwidth. No €1/month rate or lifetime membership could ever support that.
Still got questions?
Do you offer any type of discount?
- Paying with one of our accepted cryptocurrencies is discounted at 10% due to lower fees and less administration.
- Buy from a retail store that offers Mullvad VPN at different price models than ours. Currently, this option only exists throughout the Nordic region.
Do you ever have any sales?
Nope. Not for Black Friday or Christmas or any other holiday or event that you can think of. But you can always celebrate your privacy with us for the same monthly rate 365 days a year (except on leap years of course)!
Why no free plan?
"Free" services nearly always come at some cost, whether that be the time you spend watching an intro ad, the collection of your data, or by limiting the functionality of the service. We don't operate that way.
