The problem

Many government authorities using the internet service providers spy on and log internet usage. Public wireless networks often use weak or no encryption allowing anyone to tap in or are run by careless or malevolent operators.

The solution

All traffic is sent through the Mullvad servers and all traffic between your computer and the Mullvad servers is encrypted. Anyone trying to monitor your internet connection will only see a strongly encrypted stream of data to one of the Mullvad servers.
